The Client

M and S Care Services is a registered NDIS provider delivering person-centred disability support across Canberra and Sydney. Led by director Mahesh, their team provides mental health support, community participation programs, assistance with life stages and transitions, and help with personal activities. Their work is guided by four core values: compassion, empowerment, inclusivity, and excellence in delivery.

The Challenge

NDIS websites have unique requirements most web designers don't understand. Mahesh needed a website that worked for three very different audiences at once:

• Participants themselves, who need accessible design, simple language, and clear navigation.
• Families and carers, often researching providers under stress and time pressure.
• Support coordinators, who assess dozens of providers and need to understand the offering in seconds.

On top of the accessibility requirements, the site needed to communicate genuine warmth — not the sterile "compassionate care provider" language every NDIS website defaults to. Budget and practicality also mattered. M and S Care needed a site their team could update themselves, with familiar tools, on a platform with a huge ecosystem of NDIS-aware plugins.

Our Approach

We focus on doing what's right for each client, not on forcing every project onto the same stack. For M and S Care, WordPress was the right answer, and we delivered a genuinely good WordPress project rather than a cheap theme swap:

• Brand positioning: We worked with Mahesh to clarify the four-pillar service structure and the four core values.
• Accessibility-first build: WCAG-aligned colour contrast, readable typography, semantic heading structure, and keyboard navigation. Accessibility wasn't an afterthought — it was the brief.
• Clear architecture: Organised around how participants think about support, not around funding category codes.
• Team management: Self-serve content management so the team can publish posts and updates without calling us.

Why WordPress was the right choice

We build plenty of custom React and FastAPI sites. But for M and S Care, WordPress made more sense:

Support coordinators can assess fit quickly, families can understand the services without wading through jargon, and participants can see themselves reflected in the content. The site has become a reliable first point of contact for new NDIS enquiries across both Canberra and Sydney.
